Little update and a Edit
This whole entire week I have been fixing up Koala like there's no tomorrow. Tons of rain in socal which is a blessing. Got the entire line basically fixed up and ready to ride. Just finished packing the biggest roll in I have ever built and possibly the first 30footer too. Had some friends come out and help which was really awesome. We also got a new line in the creation called the snake that consists of a sharp right hand berm that is going to throw you down into a step down into the main line. Other than that, saw this edit a few months back and the booter between the trees is sick. Leaf scrubbing!

~ End of the World ~
So I hope everyone survived 12/21/12. Still pouring in norcal but heading down to socal tomorrow. Time to ride the trails and meet all the family. I stumbled upon this edit and dreamed that this would be my backyard. Australia just does it big no matter what.

Oakley Trail Championships
Oakley put on this trail contest montage in 2009 and 2010. For some reason, they never did it again in the UK.

Seventies Distribution: Up In Smoke Tour 2008
This old footage of the tour is literally one of my favorites of all time. Tons of great riding and all around everything, dirt, park, street. Been inside due to the rain and remembered this.

30ft Koala Line
Did a huge amount of work this on this thanksgiving week vacation that I had from school. Been thinking about this 30ft line for about a year or so. Basically I went all out and decided to do it. The landing isn't started yet but it will be resurrected shortly. This first gap is more or less a huge floater long low type of deal to set you up for a huge scary booter. We are also planning on putting some other features like a trick step up and another long low to a big nasty hip. Koala has never been this big and everything is getting bigger. The hardest thing to build was the huge ass roll-in due to the dirt being the consistency of baking flower, it sucked but I got it done. My friend Mitchell and this other new kid I met, Jordan, helped too which made the building a little more easier. I tested the roll-in many times and my brakes gave out. I think we are going at least 25-30mph off the roll-in if this thing gets fully packed down. It will be fun.

We got sick bars and Jared Carter's trails
These new Verde Lima Bars are way sick. Footage of Jared Carter's is somehow rare now. For some reason a lot of the remaining videos are gone on the web. At least there is one left that shows decent amount of the whole entire spot, awesome!

POW
Great edit from POW. Haven't done updates for months. We basically have no trails in Chico right now. Dug with a few people over summer at a spot that we had to abandon due to the city complaining. I will post some pictures from the summer and a labor day jam that was a few months back in the next post. We will get back to digging soon at the Kennedy Compound in Chico. The rain this weekend should help.

Little Jon
Going to do some digging today. If anyone remembers Little Jon, he is sick. One of my favorite riders of all time. Haven't seen much footage of him lately. The tire slides he does are down right awesome. Also super fast as well.

MARKIT on KOALA
I knew there was going to be some type of edit of Koala soon. Shredder Cody Mckenna from my home town rides with Ronnie Napolitan at Koala. WE have always have thought of lighting up the trails and they finally did it. It kind of sucks when I am stuck at school and miss out on these amazing sessions down in Ventura. Can't wait to go down there for a few weeks in the beginning of June. Sick edit Cody, and big ups to Ronnie for throwing everything trick on the 4th jump. That landing it literally 13ft tall from the top to bottom of the banzai.

NASTY on the SCENE
About mother fucking TIME!!!!! Nasty is the bomb, this it what the BMX scene needs right now. I love park and trails but street is just to overrated. People ask why don't you like street? I reply,"Because its easy." Easy as in anyone can literally go outside, 180 off a curb and do it for 5hours straight. I am not saying tricks are easy because hang over-toothing a 11 stair rail is nuts. Street can be very technical but I feel like its a virus due to people trying to follow others and its the in thing to do. Sure there are people who literally don't have a area geographically (like living in a Inner City for example) and thats understandable. But when I hear,"Ohh, theres nothing to ride, or I don't like dirt." it pisses me off. Sure I my be a little too over the top on this, and I know everyone has their own preference on what they want to ride. But the fact that there is this lazy ass passive attitude towards riding and picking up a shovel, is out of line with me. Trails take years and dedication towards them no matter what. If anyone gets motivated to dig, my hat goes off to you. Whether they are little rollers, small hips, gigantic booters or medium size lips, its something. Hopefully this project that Nasty is doing will expose the people who are out there digging behind that camera instead of doing a barspin for the thousandth time off a ledge.

Gotta post a update! Got a spot that we started building at and are experimenting to see how it goes. School finals are next week so it will be dig time once all that shit is over. All I can say is, we got a river that flows all year long, jungle amazon thorn bushes, and a whole bunch of bums, should be fun to see what trails come out of this. Found this video of the UK riders killing the skateparks. If I ever had a chance, I would love to ride Unit23skatpark.

Koala Refix!
Went down to Ventura to visit for a week. Basically, the whole ventura crew decided to bring back Koala from the dead. Everyone pitched in to help build. We also cleaned up the place because it was neglected by soo many people in the past year or so. On top of that, we even had some BBQ, and kicked people out who didn't want to dig or help. REGULATORS!!!!! NO DIG NO RIDE

Ventura Ca *805*
So all I got to say is that I miss the local indoor park we used to have in Ventura Ca. I found a video of the La Revolution contest at Skatestreet back in the day. I can look back and say that I wish I could ride that place today. I remember just starting out riding and that place was soo freakin scary. 16ft vert wall, all 6ft quarters. The bmx scene was really big until the owner had a fatal motorcycle which was horrible. It ultimately lead to the park being closed down. Ventura had a really sick set of dirt jumps tucked away in a baranca. They were called "Koala" because of all the eucalyptus trees. The baranca was the local spot to go to. Many memories of trying to dig and all the riders that always showed up.
